Refunds, Cancellations and Delivery
How paying, cancelling, delivery, returns and refunds work for orders in Buildfolk Shopping.
Last updated: 19 October 2026
Shopping is coming soon and is not open yet. This policy will apply when it opens.
In short: you pay in cash when your order arrives, so nothing is charged online. You can cancel for free until the seller ships. If an item arrives damaged, wrong, faulty or not as described, report it within 7 days of delivery. The seller must then replace it or refund you.
1. Who you are buying from
Products in Buildfolk Shopping are sold by independent sellers, not by Buildfolk. Each order is a contract between you and that seller. Buildfolk runs the marketplace, checks sellers before their products go live, and helps when something goes wrong. If your cart has products from more than one seller, it is split into a separate order for each seller.
2. Payment
- Cash on delivery only. You pay the seller, or their courier, when the order is delivered. Buildfolk does not take card, UPI or bank payments, and never asks for them.
- The price you see includes domestic delivery and the taxes that apply. There is no extra delivery fee and no cancellation fee.
- For accounts aged 13–17, a linked parent or guardian must approve each order with a one-time code.
3. Cancelling an order
- You can cancel free of charge from Your orders at any time before the seller marks the order as shipped. The seller is told by email.
- Once an order has shipped, it can no longer be cancelled in the app. Because you have not paid yet, you can refuse the parcel when it arrives, and you will not be charged.
- A seller can also cancel an order, for example if an item is out of stock. You are emailed, and you are not charged.
4. Delivery
- Sellers ship within their own country only, and arrange delivery themselves.
- When the seller ships your order, you get an email. You can see the courier and tracking number in Your orders.
- Delivery times depend on the seller and courier. If your order has not arrived within a reasonable time after shipping, email us and we will follow it up with the seller.
5. Damaged, wrong, faulty or not as described
Report the problem within 7 days of delivery by emailing nexushubcodebased@gmail.com. Include:
- your order number;
- photos of the item and the packaging;
- a short description of what is wrong.
We share it with the seller. The seller must offer a replacement or a full refund of what you paid, including any return delivery cost. If they offer a refund, it is paid within 14 days of the seller accepting the return, by bank transfer, UPI or another method you agree with the seller. If a return is needed, the seller explains how to send the item back.
If a seller does not resolve a valid complaint, we can remove their listings or suspend their shop. We will also help you with the next steps.
6. Changing your mind
After delivery, returns for a change of mind depend on the seller's own return policy, if they state one in the listing. Your legal rights as a consumer are not affected.
7. Items that cannot be returned
Unless they arrive damaged, wrong or faulty, some items cannot be returned for hygiene or safety reasons. These include opened personal-care products, underwear, perishable goods and personalised items.
8. Help and complaints
Email nexushubcodebased@gmail.com, or ask the Buildfolk Assistant ("where is my order?"). If you are not happy with how a problem was handled, contact our Grievance Officer, Tenali Prem, at nexushubcodebased@gmail.com. We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and resolve them within 15 days. You can also contact your local consumer protection authority. In India, that is the National Consumer Helpline: call 1915 or visit consumerhelpline.gov.in.
